We work with organisations that share our goal: helping people reduce gambling by redirecting urges towards healthier, real-world alternatives.
Universities and colleges
Offer students a practical, judgement-free tool that sits alongside your existing wellbeing and student support services.
For many people, gambling starts at university, alongside sport, nights out and group chats. Lockstep gives students somewhere to turn early, long before things reach a crisis. Working together could include:
- Introducing Lockstep to students through your wellbeing team, students' union and welcome events
- Running a pilot with a group of students and learning from their feedback
- Connecting Lockstep with your existing support, so students who need more help know where to go
We never share information about individual students.
Charities and support services
Prevention and treatment work best together. We want to help people find the right support at the right time, and to learn from organisations already doing this work.
We'd like to work with you on:
- Meetings: listing your support groups in Lockstep, so people can find meetings that fit their situation
- Referrals: pointing people who need more help towards your services, and offering a lighter-touch option to people who aren't ready for formal treatment
- Co-design and research: shaping new features with the people you support, and sharing what we learn
Funders and supporters
Your support helps us build and test Lockstep with the people who use it, and measure what really makes a difference.
Lockstep is at an early stage. Funding would help us:
- Develop and test new features with the people who use them
- Reach more people earlier, before gambling becomes a crisis
- Measure our impact properly, and share what we find

Organisations outside the UK
Gambling harm isn't only a UK problem. We're looking to bring Lockstep to new countries by working with NGOs and public agencies that already know their communities.
We provide the app and adapt it for each country, from language to local support services and meetings. Our partners lead how it reaches people locally.
